Juan defines himself as an optimistic visionary. A perfect day includes sharing a good meal with his loved ones and spending time with his dog Katrina. 

He is a history buff, so he knows fun facts about general culture and the names of all the capitals of the world.

He enjoys exploring non-traditional travel destinations. Juan is passionate about working for a fairer, more equitable society and firmly believes that every sector of the economy has the capacity and potential to make a positive impact on the world.  

He studied Politics and International Relations at the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom and got a master’s degree in International Political Economy at King’s College London. He has 5 years of experience in the venture philanthropy sector and was involved in the creation of Latimpacto, as a consultant for the International Venture Philanthropy Center (IVPC). Juan is Colombian and lives in Bogotá. He speaks Spanish, English and a ‘pouquinho’ of Portuguese.
